Connecting rod for the HDE 9000SA-SA3 diesel generator 1/3
Connecting rod for the Hahn & Sohn HDE 9000SA-SA3 1/3 diesel generator. Transfers force from the piston to the engine crankshaft. An essential part for a complete overhaul of the single-cylinder diesel engine.
The connecting rod connects the piston to the crankshaft and transfers the force generated by combustion into the rotational movement of the shaft. It is exposed to high and varying loads during every power stroke, so it must be manufactured precisely and free from deformation.
- The connecting rod has a split big end with two bolts - the big-end cap is separated from the rest of the connecting rod by a fractured joint, and both halves are marked with the same number “097” so that the cap is fitted back onto its original connecting rod during assembly. A bushing is pressed into the small end (piston pin bearing).
- The part is designed for the 192F engine - a single-cylinder air-cooled diesel engine with a displacement of 499 cm³, as used in the HDE 9000SA-SA3 1/3 generator.
- The generator delivers a maximum output of 6.5 kW and a rated output of 6 kW at both 230 V and 400 V, and the diesel engine operates at 3000-3600 rpm.

WHY CUSTOMERS CHOOSE IT
- Exact match for the 192F engine - used in the HDE 9000SA-SA3 1/3
- Split big end with identically marked halves - precise cap pairing
- Bushing in the small end for the piston pin
- Essential part for a complete engine overhaul
PRACTICAL TIP
During both removal and installation, make sure that the connecting rod big-end cap is always paired with its original connecting rod according to the stamped number - the fractured joint of the split big end is precisely matched to that specific pair, and swapping it with a cap from another connecting rod would result in incorrect seating and premature bearing wear.
KEY FEATURES
- Type: connecting rod with split big-end cap (2 bolts)
- Marking on cap: “097” (pairing number)
- Bushing in the small end (piston pin bearing)
- Designed for engine: 192F (single-cylinder, 499 cm³, air-cooled, diesel)
- Compatibility: Hahn & Sohn HDE 9000SA-SA3 1/3
USE / INSTALLATION / OPERATION
- Remove the cylinder head, oil sump, and piston according to the service procedure.
- Unscrew the connecting rod big-end cap bolts, remove the cap, and remove the connecting rod from the crankshaft.
- Before installing the new connecting rod, check the condition of the piston pin and crankshaft journal.
- Fit the new connecting rod onto the crankshaft journal and install the cap according to the stamped pairing number.
- Tighten the cap bolts to the specified torque.
- Check that the connecting rod moves freely without excessive play or stiffness.
Installation requires experience with complete engine overhauls and a torque wrench. An incorrectly tightened or mismatched connecting rod big-end cap can cause serious engine damage.
