Helping Ukraine through the winter crisis: generators for places where electricity is a matter of survival

Winter. Darkness. Power outages.

This year, the population of Ukraine is facing one of the harshest winter seasons since the start of the war. Due to extensive damage to the energy infrastructure, the supply of electrical energy is severely limited – electricity is often available for only a few hours a day. In these conditions, even a single backup power source can mean the difference between a functioning hospital and silent darkness.

Help comes from the Czech Republic

Thanks to the generous fundraiser by Memory of Nations, 36 generators were delivered to Ukraine in January 2026. They will be used in crisis areas – in healthcare facilities, at the front line, in emergency centers, and in schools.

Unloading took place under extremely demanding conditions – for example in Ternopil at -15 °C or in Poltava at -19 °C. Further shipments were sent to the cities of Dnipro, Mykolaiv, and Kherson, where they will help ensure basic operations in key institutions.

Our involvement

This delivery also included Hahn & Sohn generators, which will help ensure stable energy supplies in extreme conditions.

These were various types of machines, including diesel and gasoline models with the option of remote monitoring and operation in demanding environments.

Thank you

Our sincere thanks go to everyone who contributed to this aid – donors, organizers, and volunteers.

This form of support is concrete and effective help that has a direct impact on the quality of life of people in war-affected areas.
