Hahn & Sohn C70NG petrol generator
Hahn & Sohn C70NG is a three-phase soundproofed natural gas generator with an output of 62.5 kVA (50 kW) in continuous operation and 68.75 kVA (55 kW) in standby operation. It is powered by a four-cylinder Cummins 4BTAA3.9-G58 engine, electricity is generated by a Stamford alternator, and operation is controlled by a ComAp InteliLite 4 AMF25 controller. The sound-insulated enclosure keeps the noise level at 74 dB at a distance of 7 m.
C70NG is a natural gas generator for locations where natural gas is available and three-phase 400 V / 50 Hz power of up to 68.75 kVA is required. The Cummins 4BTAA3.9-G58 engine has 4 cylinders and a displacement of 3.9 l, is turbocharged with charge air cooling (air-to-air). Rated speed is 1,500 rpm and engine speed is controlled by the engine control unit (ECU).
- The electrical section consists of a single-bearing Stamford S1L2-Y1/50KW alternator with brushless self-excitation, IP 23 protection, class H insulation, and voltage regulation accuracy of ±0.5%. The alternator has 12 leads.
- Control is provided by the ComAp InteliLite 4 AMF25 with a 7-digit display, integrated speed governor and AVR. The controller monitors generator output (kW, kVA), protects against overload, monitors start failure, and enables emergency shutdown.
- The gas section of the engine compartment contains a gas line with valve, pressure gauge, and gas detector with a digital display. The inside of the enclosure is lined with sound-absorbing material, the doors are secured with locks, and the engine compartment is accessible from both sides.
- Gas consumption at continuous output: 19 m³/h at 100%, 15 m³/h at 75%, 10 m³/h at 50%, and 5 m³/h at 25% load.
- Directly on the machine are four industrial three-phase sockets mounted on a common rail and labelled L1-L4. The switchboard contains a main four-pole CHINT 100 A circuit breaker with leakage current protection and a set of circuit breakers for the individual outputs. The control panel is located behind a transparent window, and the enclosure is fitted with an emergency stop button. The base frame has forklift pockets.

Why customers choose it
- Natural gas operation - runs on natural gas from a fixed supply, with no need to refill diesel or petrol.
- Cummins engine and Stamford alternator - branded components.
- Three-phase 400 V output with 62.5 kVA (prime) / 68.75 kVA (standby) output - suitable for commercial premises, construction sites, and backup power.
- Sound-insulated enclosure - 74 dB at 7 m.
- ComAp AMF25 controller with display and protection functions.
- Gas detector in the engine compartment.
- Industrial sockets directly on the machine and a circuit breaker with leakage current protection
- 12-month or 1,000 operating-hour warranty on both the engine and alternator (whichever occurs first).
Practical tip
When planning the installation, allow for a weight of 1,196 kg and dimensions of 2,500 x 1,050 x 1,500 mm. Connection to the gas supply and exhaust system should be carried out by an authorised specialist company.
