Hahn & Sohn C45 diesel generator

C45 is a diesel generator for workshops, construction sites, commercial premises, and backup power applications where three-phase 400 V / 50 Hz power is required (the alternator is designed for 230/400 V). The Cummins 4BT3.9-G2 engine has 4 cylinders and a displacement of 3.9 l, is turbocharged, and runs at a rated speed of 1,500 rpm. Engine speed is controlled by an electronic governor.

• The electrical section consists of a single-bearing Stamford S1L2-K1 alternator with brushless self-excitation, IP 23 protection, class H insulation, and voltage regulation accuracy of ±0.5%. The alternator has 12 leads.
• Control is provided by the ComAp InteliLite 4 AMF25 with a 7-digit display, integrated speed governor and AVR. The controller monitors generator output (kW, kVA), protects against overload, and monitors start failure. The control panel is located behind a transparent window in the enclosure, and there is an emergency stop button on the side.
• Directly on the machine are four industrial sockets mounted on a common rail: one blue and three red, labelled L1-L4. The switchboard contains a main CHINT 63 A four-pole circuit breaker with leakage current protection and a set of circuit breakers for the individual outputs. The enclosure is secured with locks, and the engine compartment is accessible from both sides.
• Diesel fuel is filled through a filler neck on the side of the enclosure into the 120 l tank integrated into the frame. Fuel consumption at continuous output is 9.3 l/h at 100%, 7.3 l/h at 75%, 5.3 l/h at 50%, and 3.4 l/h at 25% load. Based on the tank capacity, the operating time is approximately 12.9 hours at 100% load. The machine is equipped with a fuel filter, oil filter, and air filter, as well as an exhaust system with silencer. The base frame has forklift pockets and lifting eyes for crane handling.

Practical tip

When planning the installation location, allow for a weight of 1,040 kg and dimensions of 2,280 x 950 x 1,250 mm. The base frame has forklift pockets and lifting eyes. Electrical connection to the mains and any automatic transfer system should be installed by a qualified electrician.
