For the proper functionality of every generator, it is necessary to regularly change the oil, which ensures correct engine lubrication and extends its lifespan. In this article, we will explain step by step how to safely and correctly change the oil in the 3 best-selling generators on our e-shop: HGG 3100x, 5500X-H and 8000x
Oil Change Instructions for Hahn & Sohn Gasoline Generator HGG 3100X AVR
Oil Change Interval:
First change: 25 operating hours.
Regular change: every 100 operating hours.
*The hour meter is located on the control panel of the generator (press the Volts - Hertz - Operating Hours button 3 times)

Oil Change Procedure:
1. Start the generator to warm up the oil so it can drain more easily.

2. Turn off the engine

3. Unscrew the drain plug and pour the oil into a suitable container. It is recommended to slightly tilt the generator so all the oil drains out.

4. After draining the oil, screw the drain plug back in
5. Unscrew the oil dipstick. Then pour in new oil up to the edge of the dipstick opening

6. Screw the dipstick back in
