In mountainous areas where there are frequent power outages, it is important to have a reliable backup source. As part of this implementation, we delivered and installed a Hahn & Sohn HDE40SS3 diesel generator in the La Hencl mountain hut in Nálepkov, Slovakia.

La Hencl mountain lodge is set in beautiful natural surroundings and offers comfortable accommodation with wellness facilities. Key customer requirements
The cottage owner wanted a backup power source that:
- It did not disturb the guests - the generator has a noise level of only 51 dB, which is comparable to a normal conversation.
- It ensured a smooth transition in the event of a blackout – thanks to the ATS switch, there is an automatic switchover to the generator in the event of a network blackout.
- It enabled problem-free operation of the cottage - the power of the generator covers even energy-intensive equipment such as sauna, whirlpool and heating.
How was the installation?
- The generator was installed on a concrete foundation away from the main part of the lodge.
- Automatic transfer enables a switch to generator power without operator intervention.
- Upon completion, load testing was performed to verify that the generator was reliably powering the entire facility.
Thanks to this solution, the owner and visitors of the building can enjoy comfort without worrying about power outages.
