Fuel filter for the WEICHAI WP2.3D25E200 engine used in the Hahn & Sohn HDE20SS3-DW diesel generator. Ensures filtration of diesel fuel from impurities and water before it enters the fuel injection system.
The fuel filter removes mechanical impurities and moisture from diesel fuel that could otherwise damage sensitive components of the injection system — the injection pump and injectors operate with high precision and are highly susceptible to contaminatedfuel. A clogged filter can cause loss of engine power, irregular operation, or difficultstarting.

PRACTICALTIP
After replacing the fuel filter, most diesel engines require the fuel system to be bled (using the manual priming pump on the filter or injection pump) — otherwise the engine may fail to start even with a new, correctly installedfilter.

USE/INSTALLATION/OPERATION
- Disconnect the generator from the power supply and allow the engine to cool.
- Shut off the fuel supply, if the design allows it, to minimise diesel fuel leakage during replacement.
- Unscrew the old filter using a suitable filter wrench (counter-clockwise).
- Lightly lubricate the rubber seal of the new filter with diesel fuel or engine oil.
- Screw the new filter on by hand until the seal makes contact, then tighten according to the instructions.
- Bleed the fuel system (manual priming pump) and checkforleaksafter starting.
